What we do

Two kinds of guest, two purpose built setups

The kennels and the cattery are separate spaces, built for the animals that use them. Here is exactly what each one is.

Inside one of the indoor kennels: a sealed floor, two raised beds with blankets, and fresh water bowls

Dog boarding

Fully insulated indoor kennels with grassed exercise areas

Each dog gets an insulated indoor run with a raised bed off the floor, its own water, and a gate straight out to the grass. Insulation is the part that matters in this part of the state: it keeps the kennels steady through a cold Limestone Coast winter and through the heat in February.

Dogs from the same family can be boarded together, and there is room out on the lawns to actually stretch out and play.

Cat boarding

Indoor cattery with spacious play area

The cattery is indoors and completely separate from the dogs, with climbing towers and a play area with proper floor space rather than a stack of small pens. Cats settle far better when they can get up high and watch the room.

Plenty of families here board the dog and the cat at the same time, which saves running the animals to two different places before a trip.

Have a look around

The grounds, as they actually are

Every photo here was taken at the property. If you would rather see it in person before you book, that is always the better idea. Give Rick a ring and come out.

Who looks after them

Rick and Ann

Fur Family Pet Resort is run by Rick and Ann themselves. They are the ones who take your dog off the lead at drop off and the ones who hand them back a week later, which is the whole reason people keep coming back rather than shopping around each time.

Their customers have been leaving animals here for years. One review this year thanked Rick for looking after Ethel over the years. Another says their dogs get so excited at drop off that it says it all really.

Ring whoever you get first

Rick and Ann both take calls, and there is a landline at the property as well.

They took such good care of our two cats and the booking, handover and pick up was very easy. Also very reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend if you're in the area
